BAKED FISH AND MUSHROOMS

This is a delicious baked fish recipe. We use the white fish, although any fish can be used here.  You can use Cod, Orange Roughy or Rohu (Indian Carp) .

INGREDIENTS

METHOD

  1. Butter a baking dish and place the fish fillet skin-side down, sprinkle with salt and pepper and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, heat butter, add mushrooms and spring onions and saute.
  3. Sprinkle thyme and cook until tender.
  4. Pour mushrooms and onions mixture over fish fillet and sprinkle with paprika and lime juice.
  5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 450 f for 12-15 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
  6. Serve from the dish with bread and butter on the side.

  • White fish fillet – 450 gms 1/2 inch thick, in one piece
  • Butter – 2 tbsp
  • Button mushrooms sliced – 200 gms
  • Spring onions finely chopped – 4
  • Thyme crushed – 1/4 tsp
  • Paprika – 1/2 tsp
  • Lime juice – 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper to taste for season
