Besan ke Laddoo
Besan ke Laddoo doesn’t need any introduction. Its a must have for all festivals like Diwali, Holi, Rakhee and even on new years eve.
Let me present to you a simple and easy way to make besan ke laddoo.
Ingredients for making Besan ke Laddoo
- Gram flour (Besan) – 2 cups (coarse)
- Sugar (powdered) – 1 cup
- Clarified butter (Ghee) – ½ cup
- Cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon
- Cashew nuts – 8-10 (crushed)
- Almonds – 8-10 (crushed)
Method of making Besan ke Laddoo
- Heat non-stick wok on medium flame, add ghee (clarified butter).
- After the ghee melts, add gram flour
- Roast on low heat, stirring continuously.
- Keep stirring until the gram flour starts to give a nice nutty fragrance or turns golden brown.
- The flour should now be leaving ghee.
- Add crushed almonds and cashew nuts and mix well.
- Wait for five minutes and switch off the flame
- Leave the mixture to cool slightly.
- Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder and mix very well so that no lumps are formed.
- When the mix is still slightly warm take a small portion of the mixture and shape it in round laddoos.
- Let the laddoss cool down to room temperature and then store them in air tight container.
