Besan ke Laddoo doesn’t need any introduction. Its a must have for all festivals like Diwali, Holi, Rakhee and even on new years eve.

Let me present to you a simple and easy way to make besan ke laddoo.

Ingredients for making Besan ke Laddoo

Method of making Besan ke Laddoo

  1. Heat non-stick wok on medium flame,  add ghee (clarified butter).
  2. After the ghee melts, add gram flour
  3. Roast on low heat, stirring continuously.
  4. Keep stirring until the gram flour starts to give a nice nutty fragrance or turns golden brown.
  5. The flour should now be leaving ghee.
  6. Add crushed almonds and cashew nuts and mix well.
  7. Wait for five minutes and switch off the flame
  8. Leave the mixture to cool slightly.
  9. Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder and mix very well so that no lumps are formed.
  10. When the mix is still slightly warm take a small portion of the mixture and shape it in round laddoos.
  11. Let the laddoss cool down to room temperature and then store them in air tight container.

  • Gram flour Besan – 2 cups (coarse)
  • Sugar powdered – 1 cup
  • Clarified butter Ghee – ½ cup
  • Cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Cashew nuts – 8-10 crushed
  • Almonds – 8-10 crushed

Instructions

  • Heat non-stick wok on medium flame, add ghee (clarified butter).
  • After the ghee melts, add gram flour
  • Roast on low heat, stirring continuously.
  • Keep stirring until the gram flour starts to give a nice nutty fragrance or turns golden brown.
  • The flour should now be leaving ghee.
  • Add crushed almonds and cashew nuts and mix well.
  • Wait for five minutes and switch off the flame
  • Leave the mixture to cool slightly.
  • Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder and mix very well so that no lumps are formed.

Notes

Remember to roast the gram flour very well for perfect laddoos.
