Ingredients
- Makki ka atta (maize flour) – 2 cups
- Warm Water (as needed)
- Salt to taste
- Clarified butter (Ghee) for cooking
Method
- In a big bowl add maize flour. Add salt and mix it well.
- Slowly add water and knead the mixture into a soft, pliable dough.
- Knead the dough well and keep aside. Divide the dough into equal portions.
- Take a ball, flatten it slightly, and place it on a flat surface dusted with maize flour.
- Now gently roll out the ball into a circular roti.
- Heat a tawa on medium heat. Place this flattened roll on the hot tawa (skillet).
- Cook each side until golden brown spots appear, applying ghee as needed.
- Place the finished roti on a kitchen paper towel.
- Serve with sarson ka saag or any kind of vegetable curry.

NOTES
Note:Don’t add all the water at once. If you add all the water at once then the flour will become too sticky to handle.
