Masoor Dal Ka Pakora
Ingredients
For grinder
- Masoor dal (red lentil) – ½ cup
- Green chilies – 5
- Garlic – 2 cloves
For pakoras
- Onion – 1 (medium size)
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon
- Hot oil – 1 tablespoon
- Oil for frying ( take sufficient amount, as 2 tbsp will be used to mix in batter)
Method
1)- Clean, wash and soak overnight. Strain the water.
2)- Grind masoor dal with green chilies and garlic. Grind it coarsely, without adding water.
3)- Beat the batter well to make it lighter. Add chopped onion, coriander leaves, salt and turmeric powder. And mix it well.
4)- Heat oil in a pan. in the previously prepared masoor dal batter add one tablespoon of this hot oil and mix well, make small fritters from the dal mixture and fry on medium flame till golden brown and crisp from all the side.
5)- Drain on absorbent paper. Sprinkle some chaat masala. Do it same with rest of the mixture.
6)- Serve hot with your favorite dip.
