Ingredients
- Chicken – 4-5 pieces
- Potato – 1 (peeled and cut into cubes)
- Onion – 1 sliced
- Carrot – 1 (peeled and cut into cubes)
- Tomato – 1
- Garlic pods – 8-10
- Coriander leaves – 2-3 tablespoons (Chopped)
- Bay leaf – 1
- Salt to taste
- White pepper – 1 teaspoon or as per your taste
- Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
- Black cardamom – 1
- Green Cardamom – 3
- Cloves – 3
- Olive oil – 2 tablespoon
- Butter – 1 cube (Optional)
- Wheat Flour – 1 tablespoon
Instruction
- Heat olive oil in a pressure cooker, add black and green cardamom, bay leaves and cloves. Then add half chopped garlic, cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds, than add potatoes, carrot (which are cut in medium sized chunks) and onion and cook until translucent.
- After 2-3 minutes add chicken pieces, green chill & chopped garlic and stir well. Add salt and mix well.
- After 2-3 minutes add tomato and turmeric powder and sauté for 8 minutes.
- After 8 minutes add white pepper & coriander leaves and mix well.
- Pour the 1/2 cup water and close the pressure cooker lid and set it to cook on high pressure. cook at medium heat for 1-2 whistles. Let it sit for 10 minutes for the pressure to release completely.
- Once pressure has released, open the cooker and add slurry (whisk wheat flour with water), butter and pour more 1/2 cup water to stew. Reduce heat to simmer (slow cook) and allow to cook 10 minutes. Turn off the gas, it’s ready to be served.
- Served hot with steamed rice and bread. It can be enjoyed on it’s own as a soup too.
