How to make quickly Tikona paratha. here I a sharing easy step-by-step recipe for making Tikona Paratha/Plain Paratha, ready in 30 mins.
Ingredients for Tikona Paratha/Plain Paratha
- Whole Wheat flour – 2 cups
- Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
- White Oil – 1 teaspoon
- Water as required
- wheat flour for dusting – 3 tablespoons
Method for Tikona Paratha/Plain Paratha
Take a big bowl add wheat flour, oil, salt mix well then add water (as required for kneading. Don’t add all the water at once. If you add all the water at once, then the flour will become too sticky to handle) and make into soft dough. Cover and keep the dough aside for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes knead the dough again and divided into equal portions and makes into balls.
Roll out the ball into a small chapati and apply little oil/ghee on the rolled chapati. Fold it over in a half moon circle. Again apply little oil/ghee again and fold it in a triangle. Roll out the paratha in a triangle shape.

Heat a pan or tawa. Cook the paratha on tawa when tiny bubbles start to rise on the surface, flip it.

Spread ½ tsp oil or ghee evenly on the surface and cook on high flame, approx. 20-30 seconds. Flip it again and spread ½ tsp ghee evenly on another side. Press it with spatula and cook on high flame until golden brown spots on both sides. Remove from tawa after both sides are cooked well. Repeat the process with the rest of the dough.
Serve hot paratha with any veg or nonveg curries.
