Ingredients
White Sesame Seeds – 1/2 cup
Jaggery – 250 grams
Water – 2 tablespoons
Instructions
Heat a pan over medium-low heat.
Add the white sesame seeds and dry roast them, stirring constantly, until they turn light golden brown. This should take about 4-5 minutes. The sesame seeds will release aromas and pop in the pan. Remove from the pan and set aside and allow them to cool.
In the same pan, add the jaggery and water. Stir continuously until the jaggery melts and forms a syrup. Once the jaggery syrup reaches the desired consistency, add the roasted sesame seeds mix everything well to combine.
Turn of the flame and mix the sesame quickly into the jaggery. Allow the mixture to cool slightly. Do not over cool it, otherwise will be difficult to roll laddoo. Grease your palms with a little ghee or water to prevent sticking, and start shaping the mixture into small round laddoos. Continue making laddoo with the rest of the mixture.
Let the Til ke laddoo cool down to room temperature and then store them in air tight container.
